AdBlue®

What is AdBlue®?

AdBlue® is a high-grade urea solution consisting of 32.5% urea and 67.5% pure water, colourless and harmless.

AdBlue® is a non-toxic and safe product that does not require any special qualifications for handling.
Only companies and products that have been assessed and certified by VDA (German Automobile Manufacturers Association) can call AdBlue®.
AdBlue® is used for diesel vehicles with SCR systems in compliance with the post new long-term regulation (2009).

Three features of AdBlue®

AdBlue® is an aqueous urea solution produced by industrial grade urea with pure water. It is therefore colourless and transparent.
Urea solution is harmless to human and is used in cosmetics and fertilizer.
It is also safe to produce and store, which ensures a stable supply.

About SCR Technology

Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is an exhaust gas after-treatment system, consists of several parts: SCR catalytic after-treatment chamber, AdBlue®/Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tank, pumps and wiring, and a control and monitoring system. The after-treatment system reduces NOx to near-zero levels by using a very small amount of a non-toxic chemical known as AdBlue® or DEF, which is a solution of 32.5% automotive grade urea in decisions water. When injected into the converter and heated, the urea is converted to ammonia, which reacts with the exhaust gases and reduces NOx to nitrogen and water.
